Somdev Devvarman jumped 30 places to reach career best singles ranking of 80 in the ATP charts following his stupendous show at the Johannesburg Open. Somdev earned 150 ranking points, that helped him climb the ranking. Somdev had broken into top-100 in August last year but kept floating in the next few months.While Karan Rastogi is the next best Indian at number 328. Meanwhile the re-united partners Mahesh Bhupathi 5 and Leander Paes 6 kept their rankings intact in the doubles chart. In the WTA ranking, Sania Mirza's ranking was unchanged in both singles 135 and doubles 66.Somdev Devvarman lost his second ATP final against Kevin Anderson yesterday at Johannesburg in South African Open. Devvarman ended as runner-up to Anderson. But Devvarman said the performance in Johannesburg has boosted his confidence and gave a huge fillip to his ranking as he climbed to career-best 80.Devvarman said he is hoping to break into top-50 by the end of this year. He missed last night for the second time and the first in 2009 Chennai Open in the singles.Anderson, world number 59, was the third South African Somdev clashed with in the ATP 250 tournament. Earlier, he beat Rik de Voest and Izak van der Merwe.
