Somdev Devvarman finishes runner up at SA Open Tennis in Johannesburg

India's rising tennis star Somdev Devvarman settled as runner-up at the South African Open in Johannesburg on Sunday night. He lost a fiercely-fought summit clash to local favourite Kevin Anderson 6-4, 3-6 2-6. It was for the second time that Somdev had made the title-round of an ATP event. He had reached the Chennai Open final in 2009 when he lost to Marin Cilic. However, Somdev's ranking will get a boost after his brilliant show in Johannesburg as he earned 150 ranking points and also pocketed 40,300 US Dollars as prize money. Anderson got 250 points and 76,500 US Dollars for his effort.
