In Tennis, India's Somdev Devvarman has crashed out of the Indian Wells ATP Masters Qualifying tournament. Somdev's hopes to enter the main draw of the tournament were dashed to the ground, as he lost his opening round match in straight sets to Italy's 27th seed, Matteo Viola. The Indian, playing under protected ranking, suffered a 2-6, 2-6 defeat at the hands of World Number 127, Viola.
