In Somalia, al-Shabab militants attacked a beachside hotel in the capital, Mogadishu on Friday.  According to the police, 6 civilians were killed and 10 injured in the attacks. Security forces rescued more than 80 guests from the Pearl Beach hotel after a six-hour siege.  Police informed that three security personnel died in the rescue operation, while all attackers were killed in a fierce gun battle.
