Solving militancy, improvement in connectivity, & implementation of welfare initiatives in Northeastern states are top priorities: Home Minister Amit Shah

<span style="color: #222222;">Solving militancy,  improvements in connectivity, and implementation of welfare initiatives  in the Northeastern states  are the top priorities of Central Goverment. The  Union Home Minister Amit Shah said this in Guwahati while addressing  the 70th Plenary Session of North Eastern Council. Mr. Shah asked all the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern states to take the help of North Eastern Space Application Centre (NESAC) to mitigate flood issues and promote tourism, forestation.<br />'' <br />''Regarding  the importance of regional language,  the Union Home Minister  said that all regional languages are equally important and our country could develop only if we give equal respect to all languages. Primary education of children should be imparted in their respective mother tongue as mandated in the NEP, 2020.<br />'' <br />''Talking to the media, Minister for DoNER, G. Kishan Reddy  said the Central Government, is working relentlessly to bring peace & prosperity in the North Eastern Region.<br />'' <br />''The Plenary Session reviewed the status of different projects in North Eastern Region (NER), deliberated on how to fast track the progress of ongoing projects, confirmed the proceedings of the 69th Plenary meeting, outlays by Central Ministries in this region and plans for the period of the financial year 2022-23 & beyond.<br />''<br />''The Ministry of DoNER, NEC, the State Governments as well as selected Central Ministries on various developmental initiatives and future plans for the North East region presented papers. State Chief Secretaries from all over NER made their presentation on 'Priorities & Success Stories' of their respective states and deliberated upon important themes such as 'Regional Planning for-Telecom, Broadband & Internet Connectivity, Primary Sector Development and Tourism.<br />''<br />''Secretary, DoNER, Lok Ranjan welcomed all the dignitaries to the Plenary Session and made his presentation on 'Vision and Strategy for NER as Growth Engine of our Country' highlighting the recent reforms undertaken and the focus sector for sustainable and accelerated development of the region.<br />''<br />''MoS for DoNER & Co-operation, B.L. Verma was also present in the Session.</span>
