Solar Powered Fruits & Vegetable Vending van well suited to be used during lockdown

<span style="color: #222222;">The solar powered evaporative cooled fruits and vegetable vending van developed by the Bengaluru based Indian Institute of Horticulture Research has found interest among the Farmers Producers Organisations (FPOs) since Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a one lakh crore agriculture Infrastructure Fund to boost investment in the farm sector, especially in cold storage, warehousing and markets for farmers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Solar Powered Fruits and Vegetable Vending van is designed to keep produce fresh for two days using the evaporating cooling technology with solar power. This also provides dust free and hygienic storage space. The van has a LED TV for displaying prices of produce and an audio system for announcements. Fitted with GPS the movement of the van can be tracked remotely.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The van is well suited to be used during the pandemic. An electronic weighing machine with computerised billing facility ensures that there is no social contact and customers get fresh produce at the right price and quantity.</span><br />''
