The Central Bureau of Investigation has submitted a status report before Supreme Court in Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case. It contains summary of CBI’s investigation conducted in the case so far.The Supreme Court had, earlier, in its order of January, 2010 directed CBI to submit the report by the end of July, 2010. The status report and affidavit were filed by the Chief Investigating Officer Amitabh Thakur who had led the team to interrogate Shah in judicial custody.
