'Social service that savours of patronage is not service': Mahatma Gandhi

He said, You will be called upon, when you are discharged from your colleges and schools, to enter upon public life to lead the poor people of this country.<br />”<br />”Mahatma Gandhi asserted that an educational system is faulty if it does not respond to the requirements of the country. For Mahatma, the student volunteer work was not part of leisure activity, but an integral part of social reform and nation-building.&nbsp;<br />
