Facebook's Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said that now they are going to be metaverse first, not Facebook first.<br />”<br />”A week after teasing the news of the name change, Mr Zuckerberg made the announcement yesterday in a keynote address at Facebook Connect, the company's annual in-house virtual reality conference.<br />”<br />”Mr Zuckerberg described the metaverse, which he saw as the next generation of the internet, as a virtual environment that would allow people to be present with each other in digital spaces.<br />”<br />”In Meta’s vision, people will congregate and communicate by entering virtual environments, whether they’re talking with colleagues in a boardroom or hanging out with friends in far-flung corners of the world.</span><br />
