Social activist and writer, Mahasweta Devi continues to be in critical condition and on life support. A doctor at the hospital, where she has been undergoing treatment, said, a dialysis was performed last night. <br/><br/>The major problem is said to be that her kidneys are not functioning properly and the doctors are providing her renal support. There has been no improvement in her condition. <br/><br/>The 90-year-old suffers from various ailments and was put on non-invasive ventilation yesterday after her condition worsened. The writer, who was honoured with the Jnanpith Award in 1996, has been undergoing treatment at a hospital here for about two months now.
