Heavy snowfall continues to wreak winter havoc across the Europe. At Germany’s busiest airport in Frankfurt, many flights were cancelled for the second day running due to the severe weather conditions. Stranded passengers were forced to wait for hours in the departure hall, not knowing when or if their plane would take off. Some northern and western parts of the UK have been hit by a white-out for several days now. Temperatures have dropped to record levels. The mercury is also at record low levels in France. Minus15.3 was measured during the night in Orleans which is a record.
