Snowfall continues in higher reaches of Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, snowfall is continuing in higher reaches, whereas the lower and plain areas are experiencing light to moderate rain bringing in a chill across the state on Thursday.According to reports people are facing problem following the snowfall and rains in different parts of the state. Meanwhile movement of vehicles have resumed on Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway which was blocked due to landslide following the rain in Rudraprayag district. Met office has predicted heavy snowfall in the higher reaches during the next 36 hours, while lower areas are expected to receive moderate rainfall. Meanwhile rains has brought down the day's temperature, with Dehradun recording 16 degree Celsius, 2 notches below normal.
