In Jammu and Kashmir, snowfall and rain continued for the third consecutive day on Friday. Authorities briefly suspended traffic on the vital Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Friday morning as a precautionary measure.However, the highway was reopened for traffic after the weather improved later in the day, traffic control authorities said. Higher reaches of Kashmir have been receiving intermittent snowfall while the plains including summer capital Srinagar were lashed by rains since Wednesday.
