Smriti Irani slams Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for government's criticism

BJP Leader and Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Textiles Smriti Irani has said, the recent aggression of Congress against Jay Shah is clearly off track and Mr Shah's business is perfectly legitimate. <br/><br/>In a press statement, She said, instead of seeking answers on 80 crores of transactions of Mr Shah, the Congress should give an account for the more than 80 scams and the 1 lakh 80 thousand crore rupees that India has lost due to corruption and cronyism of successive Congress governments. <br/><br/>She also slammed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for his recent criticism of the government. Ms Irani said, Mr Gandhi has clearly indicated that he and his party prefer the idea of vote bank politics over development. <br/><br/>During his visit to Gujarat, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi hit out at the NDA government over the state of economy. <br/><br/>He alleged, in Ahmedabad that demonetization resulted in the loss of business of many small traders and also said the Gujarat model of development has failed. <br/><br/>The Congress leader demanded that the rates under the Goods and Services Tax should not exceed 18 percent.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the Union Minister reached Amethi this afternoon on a two-day visit. She participated in the programmes organised by BJP district unit at different places. <br/><br/>Tomorrow, Mrs Irani will Launch several projects including FM Radio Station, construction of a bandh at River Gomati to save the affected villages from river's flood.

BJP Leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani today slammed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for his recent criticism of the government. <br/><br/>She said, Mr Gandhi's utterances show that he is not only anti-progress but also mocks the idea of a developed and empowered India. <br/><br/>In a press statement, Ms Irani said, Mr Gandhi has clearly indicated that he and his party prefer the idea of vote bank politics over development. <br/><br/>She said, the manner in which Mr Gandhi has made fun of the dreams and aspirations of the people of Gujarat will lead to a historic defeat for the Congress party in upcoming state elections. <br/><br/>She said, what Mr Gandhi is doing in Gujarat is to insult the dreams and aspirations of 6.5 crore Gujaratis. <br/><br/>She alleged that tall leaders like Sardar Patel and Morarji Desai have been badly humiliated by the Nehru Gandhi family and this trend continues with Narendra Modi.
