Smriti Irani, Rahul Gandhi address election rallies in Himachal

Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani has criticized Congress party for its anti-people policies. <br/><br/>Addressing an election rally in Bhatta Kufar near Shimla this evening, she accused Congress party of patronage for corrupt elements in the country. <br/><br/>She said that the decision of demonetization was taken in the interest of nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. <br/><br/>She also addressed rallies in Chirgaon of Shimla district and Thachi of Mandi district.<br/><br/>On the other hand, Congress Vice president Rahul Gandhi alleged that the BJP Government at the Centre has failed in providing employment as per it promises and it should immediately provide jobs to Youth. <br/><br/>Addressing an election rally at Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh this evening, Mr Gandhi alleged that during demonetization, some people changed their black money to white. <br/><br/>He said, it broke the backbone of Himachal's economy Horticulture, Agriculture and Tourism. Replying to the allegations of opposition, Mr Gandhi said, NITI Aayog report has said that Himachal has the lowest corruption and it is 99 per cent electrified. <br/><br/>Quoting a report, he said, Himachal Pradesh gave more employment than Gujarat when Prime Minister Modi was Chief Minister.<br/><br/>Mr Gandhi also targeted Mr Modi and BJP President Amit Shah over inducting Mukul Roy and Narayan Rane in BJP who are accused of corruption. He also took on Mr Shah on the issue of his son's company. He said, GST has brought down the country's growth rate by 2 per cent.<br/><br/>He said, If Congress Government comes to power again it will give special focus to Kangra region and will expand Railway line and establish Central University.
