Union Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani today inaugurated the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER) at Vithura in Thiruvananthapuram.<br/><br/>The Institute is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards. <br/><br/>IISER started functioning in the State in August 2008 with a transit campus at the College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram (CET). <br/><br/>Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Mr. A. Sampath, M.P., and Mr. K.S. Sabarinath, M.L.A. were among those participated at the inaugural function.
