The smart card of National Health Insurance Scheme can now also be used to take ration under Public Distribution System. This new scheme today started from Chhattisgarh. The Additional Secretary of in the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, Shri Anil Swarup, today distributed these new cards in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Shri Swarup said that this multi-utility card will not only prove more beneficial for the people but also help to control any type of irregularities in Public Distribution System.
