Small & Micro industries can develop industrially backward Arunachal Pradesh: Niranjan Jyoti

Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti has said that small and micro industries could help develop the industrially backward Arunachal Pradesh.<br/><br/>She was addressing a programme on 'Arunachal Pradesh Food PRO in Itanagar today. She said Food Processing Industry contributes around 14 per cent of manufacturing Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Arunachal with varied agro, horti and other ethnic produces has huge potentials for development of food processing industries.<br/><br/>State Industries Minister Tamiyo Taga said, though the NE region has huge potential in the sector, it suffers due to insufficient infrastructure, entrepreneurship and business supporting institutions. He said Arunachal is having investor friendly Industrial Policy in place. <br/><br/>Mr. Taga also stressed on the need for setting up a Mega Food Park in the state to boost the economy of the state.
