In UP, there is marked improvement in flood situation in certain eastern and western districts.AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that the flood situation is still critical in 9 districts. Provincial Armed Constabulary is conducting relief operations in these districts.’Monsoon has weakened and there is no rain for past few days in a major area of the state. Ganga has gone below the danger level in all places except Ballia where both Ganga and Ghaghra rivers are flowing above the danger mark. Ghaghra is also above the red mark in Barabanki and Ayodhya also.The State government has deployed 272 medical teams in flood ravaged districts to prevent spread of infectious diseases.
