In Uttar Pradesh, there is slight improvement in the flood situation in Jyotiba Phule Nagar and Muzaffarnagar districts as the water-level of river Ganga has started receding. In the eastern parts of the State, more than a dozen districts including Gonda, Bahraich, Pilibhit and Hardoi are still reeling under severe floods from the rivers of Ghaghra, Ramganga and Sharada.
