Sri Lankan cricket board, SLC, today announced that its disciplinary committee will look into the conduct of its two top players- Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara. SLC issued a statement today saying that its Executive Committee met last evening and has decided to refer the unsubstantiated statements made by Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara against the board officials, to a Disciplinary Committee for their views and recommendations.The offending statement by the two former captains was made at the Press Conference held by them in Colombo on their return from Bangladesh after winning the T-20 World Cup. The players were critical of the stance of the Board over their announcement of retirement from T20 International cricket.
