In West Bengal, 12-hour dawn to dusk bandh began in three hills sub-division – Darjeeling, Kurseong and Klimpong from this morning. <br/><br/>This 'Janata Bandh' is called to morn the death of veteran Gorkha League leader Madan Tamang who was murdered in broad day light on 21st May in Darjeeling. <br/><br/>The funeral procession of the slain leader has already started from his house in Darjeeling on way to his ancestral village at Medhma near Sandakpoo situated at 12000 feet high. Before taking his body to the party office for condolence, a mass prayer meet was organised in Darjeeling before proceeding to Medhma.<br/><br/>Large number of mourners under security cover joined the funeral procession.<br/>
