Skill Development Centres will be set up in each of the Lok Sabha Constituencies to impart skills among youth. Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said this during Question Hour in the Lok Sabha today. He said eight more Regional Vocational Training Institutes have been set up in states such as Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Bihar and Tripura beside the existing 10 RVTIs across the country and they will be commencing training from this month.<br/><br/>Replying to a supplementary, he said the Constituency level committees will identify the skill development programmes needed for the local requirements. He also said over one lakh fifty thousand women will be imparted skills every year through women ITIs. In addition, 25 thousand women are getting upgraded skills through various Entrepreneurship Programmes. Replying to another supplementary, Mr Rudy said all North Eastern States have been covered under the skill development programmes through 98 training centres and 11 mobile training centres.
