Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today handed over skill certificates and job offers to 50 Air force personnel who are going on retirement in near future.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Skill development Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said more than 50 thousand defence personnel retire every year and there is a need to provide skill to these personnel to provide them post retirement opportunities. <br/><br/>He said, today for the first time 50 Indian Air force personnel were certified and have been offered employment. The Minister said, special focus is to utilize services of the retiring personnel as trainers and assessors in skill development ecosystem.<br/><br/>Ministry of Skill development and Ministry of Defence had signed an MoU in July last year to partner for various skill development initiatives.
