Sixth Asia Gas Summit in Delhi from March 22

The Sixth Asia Gas Partnership Summit will be held in New Delhi from March 22 to March 23 in New Delhi. In this summit speakers from 11 countries are expected to participate and will delibarte on the issue of Sourcing, Distribution of Natural Gas: Challenges for Emerging Markets". The Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Energy and Industry of Qatar will be the chief guest of the event. <br/><br/>This was announced in a press conference organized by Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) Mr. B C Tripathi and FICCI general secretary Dr. Amit Mitra in New Delhi, today.<br/><br/>Addressing the reporters Mr. B C Tripathi CMD GAIL, said that there is a discernible shift in the pattern of supply of natural gas in terms of changing domestic and International scemario of gas availability. Speaking on the occassion Dr. Mitra said that the 6th Asia Gas Partnership Summit would raise the issues of India's strategy for gas sourcing under a volatile international gas market.<br/>
