In Afghanistan, six foreign soldiers were killed on Wednesday when an Afghan military pilot opened fire at the military airport in the capital Kabul. The NATO-led coalition has not provided any further details on the nationalities of those killed. Afghan defence ministry spokesman Gen. Mohammad Zahir Azimi said the gunman was also killed in the exchange.Detailed investigation into the incident is on. Two Afghan army soldiers were also injured in the incident. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid has taken responsibility for the attack. He claimed that the shooter was a sleeper agent who used an Afghan army uniform and gained access to the military airport with the cooperation of an insider.Recent weeks have seen a wave of attacks by militants dressed in Afghan military uniforms, including several suicide bombings. On 18th April, an insurgent dressed in Afghan army uniform had opened fire inside the Afghan Defence Ministry in central Kabul, killing two employees and wounding seven.
