Six research scholars of Jamia Millia Islamia awarded PMRF under Lateral Entry Scheme

Six research scholars of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI)&nbsp; have been awarded the coveted Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) under the Lateral Entry Scheme. They are Fozia Tabasum and Momina in Civil Engineering,&nbsp; Azra Malik in Electrical Engineering, Firoz Khan in Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Aaliya Taiyab in Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences and Ashi Saif in Center for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar personally called all research scholars to congratulate them. She said that five out of six research scholars are girl students and expressed&nbsp; hope that it would inspire other students, particularly girl students of the university to do well in science and research.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">The six researchers would be individually getting a per month fellowship of 70, 000 rupees for the first two years, 75,000 rupees for the third year and 80,000 rupees for the fourth and fifth year respectively. Apart from this, each Fellow would be getting a research grant of two Lakh rupees per year (a total of ten Lakhs for five years) under the PMRF.</span>
