Six new trains from Kolkata to different destinations

Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee today announced running of six new trains from Kolkata to different destinations from next Wednesday to ease extra rush of passengers. Addressing a function at Dankuni of West Bengal today, she said that six new trains are Howrah – Bangalore Dooranta Express, Howrah-New Delhi Youth Express, Howrah-Purulia Express, Howrah-Haridwar Express, Kolkata-Bikaner Express and Sealdah-Amritsar Express. Earlier, the Railway Minister laid the foundation stone of the Electric and Diesel Engine Manufacturing components Factories at Dankuni. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Banerjee said that the railway factories will boost the industrial activities in the area besides employment generation. The Railway Minister also announced setting up a railway training institute at Dankuni. She said that around 3000 unmanned level crossing will be manned by this fiscal. She also announced expansion programme of the Metro Railways of Kolkata upto Dakshineswar. <br/>
