Six new Gyanwani channels launched

Six New Gyanwani channels were launched today to impart better education to the poor and downtrodden. 31 channels were already in operation across the country. Today the Gyanwani channels started functioning in Srinagar, Agra, Chandigarh, Julandhar, Trichi and Thrianantpuram. Lunching the stations the minister of state for Information and Broadcasting Mr. C M Jatwa said that the launch of these stations has given access to poor children to better education facilities. He hailed the role of the initiative in spreading literacy in the country. Speaking on the occasion the Vice chancellor of the IGNOU , A Rajeshekharan Pallia said that the 10 Gyan Darshan stations run by the University are doing a great service in spreading education in the country.<br/>
