<span style="color: #222222;">With six new COVID-19 cases reported today, Sikkim now has 10 active cases.<br />'' <br />'' Director General of Health Department Dr Pempa Tshering Bhutia informed in a press conference in Gangtok that the new cases were detected from 330 tests conducted on Monday morning.<br />'' <br />'' Of these, one is an 18-year-old woman from Ravangla, South Sikkim who was in facility quarantine at the Centre for Computers and Communication Technology in Chisopani, South Sikkim. She had returned from Chennai.<br />'' <br />'' The new cases include a 28-year old female from Rhenock, East Sikkim who was in facility quarantine at Himalayan Pharmacy Institute, Majhitar, East Sikkim and is a returnee from Siliguri, West Bengal.<br />'' <br />'' She had contacted 10 people in a bus while returning to Sikkim and 35 people during facility quarantine and all contacts have reported negative. The bus driver's sample is being tested.<br />'' <br />'' The other four cases have been reported from West Sikkim. A couple, 33-year old wife and 44-year old husband, has also been infected. They were in facility quarantine in Kyongsa.<br />'' <br />'' A 23-year old man from Yuksom and a 42-year old woman from Tharpu travelled in buses from Siliguri to their facility quarantine in Kyongsa and contacted many people returning from different parts of the country.<br />'' <br />'' Contact tracing has been done for all the new cases and subsequent procedures are being followed. All these people have been shifted to New STNM Hospital near Gangtok.<br />'' <br />'' Dr Bhutia further said that among the three recovered patients, two are from South Sikkim whose results were confirmed from North Bengal Medical College, Siliguri, West Bengal and the third one was a returnee from Maharashtra.<br />'' <br />'' He added that all the recovered people have not been discharged and will undergo two tests within 24 hours and will be under observation for 14 days, if they test negative.<br />'' <br />''<br />''He also said that most of the infected people are asymptomatic and appealed to all people undergoing quarantine and others to maintain discipline and follow norms.</span>
