Six month Knitting, Cutting & Tailoring and Embroidery Training course for rural women starts in Jammu

<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a six month Knitting, Cutting & Tailoring and Embroidery Training course for rural women was today started at District Industries Centre, Jammu to make them self-reliant.<br />'' <br />''The course was inaugurated by General Manager, DIC Jammu Subah Mehta with a batch of 20 trainees. She highlighted various initiatives undertaken by DIC, Jammu towards empowering the women entrepreneurs, who she said become self-employed after passing out such Trainings. After successful completion of training, the Department will provide loan under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme [PMEGP], which is to be extended through Banks to the extent of Rs 25.00 lakh for manufacturing sector and Rs 10.00 lakh for the service sectors, with a subsidy is ranging from 25% to 35%.</span><br />
