At least six militants were killed during an operation in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province yesterday. According to a Frontier Corps statement, the exchange of fire between security forces and militants took place in Johan area of Kalat district. A huge cache of weapons was also recovered from the possession of militants who were involved in several target killings and bomb explosions in the tribal area. The official said a woman and her daughter who were abducted from Hyderabad in Sindh one year ago were also recovered during the operation.

In Pakistan, at least six militants were killed today, as the security forces shelled their hideouts in Orakzai Agency. Sources said several other militants sustained injuries when the security forces pounded the militants’ hideouts with heavy guns in Khadezai area of Orakzai Agency. Two hideouts were wiped out.
