In Jharkhand, two security men were injured and 6 Maoists are believed to be killed in an encounter on Thursday. The encounter took place at Karamdih of Latehar district.Superintendent of Police in Latehar, Kranti Kumar, told reporters that a COBRA jawan and a jawan of Jaguar force suffered critical injuries during the gunbattle with the Maoists that began around 11.30 am.Inspector General of Police (Operation) R K Malik said there was a fierce encounter but unless bodies of rebels are recovered, the actual casualty figure can't be confirmed.The security personnel had entered the jungles as part of anti-Maoist operation.
