In Chhattisgarh, security forces arrested six Maoists and took possession of the arms being carried by them in Kosekodi village in Kanker district. Police officials said it was a joint operation by the BSF, District Police and Special Police Officers who had received information about the movement of Maoists in the area. The Ultras were engaged in a meeting when the security forces reached the Kosekodi forest. Maoists after spotting the security forces began firing at them. When the forces returned the fire, Maoists started running away. But the security forces had cordoned off the area and managed to arrest six outlaws.
