In Pakistan, Six people including a Deputy Superintendent of Police were killed and 19 others injured in two blasts on Monday. Two police vehicles were targeted by a suicide bomber and a roadside bomb in Peshawar. In the first attack, a suicide attacker struck DSP's vehicle this morning. Officials said the police officer, two bodyguards, a driver and another person in a car parked at the site of the blast were killed in this attack. 15 others were also reported to have been injured in this blast. A short while later, another police vehicle was targeted with a roadside improvised explosive device at Tajabad area. A constable was killed and four policemen were injured by the powerful blast. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search for the attackers. No group has claimed responsibility for these attacks. Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar condemned the attacks and described them as acts of cowardice.
