In Kyrgyzstan, six people were killed and over 60 others injured in clashes in southern part of the country over night. According to local reports, fighting broke out between rival gangs of youngmen and developed into gun battle. The Kyrgyzstan interim government declared a state of emergency in the city of Osh due to the turmoil there. Armored vehicles have been sent in to stabilize the situation after hundreds of youths smashed windows, looted shops and set fire to cars in the city.
