Electronics and IT Minister Ravishankar Prasad on Tuesday said, six crore people will be made digitally literate in rural areas soon. <br/><br/>Addressing a conference of IT Ministers and IT Secretaries in New Delhi, Mr Prasad said, one crore people have already been made digitally literate. <br/><br/>The Minister said digital transactions are being promoted in a big way by the Centre and there is a need to strengthen the cyber security system. <br/><br/>On AADHAR, Mr Prasad said, no one should be denied benefits and services if not having an Aadhar card but the person should be asked to get the Aadhar number to avoid inconvenience in the future. <br/><br/>Saying that the future of digital India is bright, Mr Prasad said, every district should have its own website to present its features to the world. <br/><br/>He also requested the states to use common services centres for digital deliveries. <br/><br/>He pitched for popularising the concept of e-hospitals so that people can book their appointments online without wasting their time. <br/><br/>The Minister said, Motor Vehicle License will be soon linked with AADHAAR to avoid use of duplicate licenses.
