In Uttar Pradesh six children were killed and eight others including a women injured in a crude bomb blast in Kareli in Allahabad.

However district administration has confirmed five causalities. The dead have been identified.

Speaking to AIR, IG Allahabad zone Alok Sharma said the blast took place in a heap of garbage.

Injured have been admitted to SRN medical college hospital. An Anti Terrorist Squad team has been called to know the exact nature of the blast. AIR correspondent quoting eye witnesses reports, that the deaths occurred on the spot. Allahabad district administration that the victims families will be provided financial assistance as per rules and urged the state government to more assistance to the next of the kin of those who are dead besides the injured.
