In Uttar Pradesh, situation is under control in Aligarh and farmers held a Panchayat in Tappal today. Several opposition leaders visited Aligarh and met the farmers and their leaders. Samajwadi Party Leader, Shivpal Singh Yadav visited Tappal and demanded expulsion of the Mayawati Government in the state. Rashtriya Lok Dal leader, Ajit Singh also visited the accident site and met the farmers in Panchayat. He demanded immediate release of the detained farmers. Former Chief Minister and BJP leader Raj Nath visited the place.U.P Congress President, Rita Bahuguna Joshi visited Aligarh jail and met the farmers. Samajwadi Party today held dharna and demonstration throughout the state and all district collectorates protesting against the firing incident. Extra Police force has been deployed in the area. State Police spokesperson told AIR that there is no report of any untoward incident from Aligarh and Mathura today and the situation is fully under control.
