The situation in Kashmir valley is peaceful today even as authorities have imposed curfew in five police station areas of Srinagar city along with Baramulla, Sopore, Handwara and Kupwara. The step has been taken as a precautionary measure in view of protest march called by hardline faction of Huriyat conference to Palhalan locality in Baramula district.Meanwhile bomb disposal squad of police destroyed suspicious explosive material planted on road today in Batamaloo area of Srinagar city.
