In Uttar Pradesh, the situation in violence hit area of Greater Noida is under control but tensed. Heavy police force has been deployed in Bhatta Parsual village and other nearby areas. In yesterday’s violence two police personnel were killed while one villager had also lost his life. Meanwhile at least over a dozen villagers have also been detained. According to police sources the district Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar who got bullet injury is out of danger and being treated in a private hospital of Noida. Senior superintendent of police of district was also injured in stone pelting and admitted in hospital. Meanwhile the state government has announced rupees five lakh as financial assistance to the bereaved family of two jawans Manveer Singh and Manohar Singh. The Director General of Uttar Pradesh police Karamveer Singh had also announced in Lucknow that all three hostages have been freed and are safe. The three officials belong to UP Roadways were hostage by agitated farmers. AIR Correspondent reports that trouble began when police forces reached the Bhatta parsual village under Dankaur police station area to free the three employees of U.P Roadways who had been held hostage by agitating farmers demanding higher compensation and other benefits against their acquired land for Yamuna Expressway.
