In Uttar Pradesh, the situation in trouble-hit areas of Muzaffarnagar is under control. Life is limping back to normal amid tight security. No untoward incident has occurred since Wednesday night after the killing of four people in two villages of Bhaurakalan police area in the district. The administration has made deployment of large numbers of security forces in the sensitive areas of the district.

Meanwhile, the administration is probing whether PAC jawans had actually shot dead three youths in Hussainpur village, as many villagers leveled allegations against them.
