The Situation in Ludhiana, the industrial town of Punjab, is under control now after Friday’s mob violence by migratory labourers. They were protesting against police inaction in a complaint of looting of some of the labourers by some unidentified persons. Police had to impose curfew in five areas of the town after many people including police personnels got injured, some of them seriously. However, curfew has been relaxed in three out of five places till further orders. These are Division No. 6 & 7 and Shimlapuri but in Focal Point and Sahnewal, the curfew is continuing.
