<br/>Situation in the Kashmir valley is slowly returning to normal. Curfew is not in force in any part of the valley today. Traffic is back on the roads and some shops have also reopened. Some restrictions have, however been imposed in Batmaloo and few other places to thwart any attempt to create trouble. Some of the schools also reopened in Srinagar city. <br/><br/>The Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Mr Pirzada Mohammed Saeed told AIR correspondent that he is hopeful that with the improvement in the situation, all schools in the cities and towns of Kashmir valley will start functioning normally by the end of this week. A few schools have reopened and attendance is very thin. Mr Pirzada said that instructions have been given to the schools to take all steps including holding extra classes to complete the syllabus so that the students are able to make up for the loss suffered in the last fortnight .
