In Kashmir valley, the situation today is largely calm. The authorities have, however, imposed curfew in seven police station areas of Srinagar city comprising most parts of interior city and up town localities of Bemina, Qumarwari and Maisuma. Restrictions on people's movement are also being enforced in Soura and Patmalo areas. Bijbehara, Badgam and Anantnag towns are also facing these restrictions. The step has been taken in the wake of the proposed street protest by the separatist supporters.
