As of now 38 people are arrested and 9 FIR have been registered. Police forces are constantly patrolling and security beefed at 74 places in curfew bound areas.
People are impatient for lifting of curfew that seems likely by tomorrow, if situation remains normal and peace continues. Educational institution will remain closed till 30th.
Chief Minister Akhilesh has already announced financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh to kin of each of the three person killed in clash and Rs. 50,000 to seriously injured.
Union Minister Kalraj Mishra has condemned the incident terming it as shameful and plotted.
Congress leader and MLA Reeta Bahuguna Joshi asked for early restoration of peace in trouble Saharanpur.
Maulan Abul Kasim Naumani of Darul- Ulum Devband , Sahranpur has appealed to people for peace.
The violent clash between the two groups broke out at dawn on Saturday over construction at a disputed place of religious faith under Kutubsher area police station.
Both the sides indulged in heavy brick batting, arson and opened fire. More than 18 people including two policemen were injured in group clash.
Over fifty shops and one dozen vehicles were torched.
