The situation in rain hit districts of Karnataka has improved on Monday after four days of incessant rain. The reports of water receding from low lying areas are also coming in. Depending on the situation on Tuesday the district administration has decided to consider opening of schools which have remained closed since last four days in the rain affected districts.However, some areas in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Chickmagalur, Hassan and Udupi are still coping up with the flood situation. Revenue Department sources have said that rains led to death of three people and 30 houses have collapsed. Nineteen relief camps are opened accommodating 750 people and forty three boats are deployed to shift people to safer places.
