New Delhi has said that the situation to hold a dialogue between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif is not conducive. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin, however, said that the decision about holding a dialogue on the sidelines of the United Nation's General Assembly in New York next month, will be taken as the situation evolves. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi yesterday, he said, violence and terrorist activities continue to emanate from Pakistani soil. Akbaruddin said Pakistan should abide by its publicly stated commitment that its territory will not be used for anti-India activities.
On the reported Chinese incursion in Arunachal Pradesh, Akbaruddin said, it has already been rebutted by the Army and described it as a non-event.
