<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, flood situation remains critical  as new areas are inundated due to incessant rains in the state. Official sources said that 2 lakh 52 thousand people are affected by floods in 16 districts. Several major rivers are flowing above the danger mark in the state. Dhemaji, Majuli and Tinsukia are among the worst affected districts. <br />''<br />'' Over 18 thousand people are taking shelter at the relief camps. District administrations are distributing essential food items at flood hit areas. Around 40 percent of the Kaziranga national park is also submerged due to floods. However the Director of the park said that the situation is not alarming.</span><br />
