CPI (M) leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Sitaram Yechury has demanded punitive action against Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal for his derogatory remarks against women members of the CPI(M). In a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker today, Yechury said Pal’s remarks amount to ethical misconduct. He said the matter should be referred to Committee on Ethics. Yechury said Pal’s comments are denigrating to the image of Parliamentarians and also an unbecoming conduct on the part of the Member.
